Tin mining and processing plant to be built in North Kazakhstan until 2018

A tin mining and processing plant will be commissioned in Aiyrtau area of North Kazakhstan region in 2018, according to a session of the regional coordination council.

The session recommended to include the project in the national industrialization map, AKI Press reported.

The plant is expected to produce up to 6,000 tons of tin concentrates and fumes. The cost of the project is 10 billion tenge ($53.1 million).

The producer will employ more than 500 people.
