MINEX Russia held in Moscow since 2005, is regarded as one of the most successful business-driven mining events in Russia. The Forum addresses issues of exploration, mining and minerals processing.
This year, this premier meeting of the Russian mining industry is organised on the backdrop of the strategic rethinking of the country’s economic priorities and emerging role of mining industry as potential backbone of accelerated development of the mineral-rich areas in the Far East and Siberia. Russia is deeply integrated into the global production, trade and investment. In the current situation of uncertainty and overhaul of the global geopolitical and economic priorities, the medium-term objective is getting the Russia’s economic development back to the pre-crisis levels. However the main challenge faced by the authorities and businesses alike remains the realisation of the internal potentials which could provide basis for sustainable and accelerated growth.
SPEAKERS
One of the underrated and not fully understood economic potentials is Russia’s mineral and metals base. With the continuing global growth of living standards and the urban population, the development of infrastructure projects and creation of new technologies, the role of metals and minerals will be vital in the international economic development in the 21st century.
Russia is generously endowed with human and natural resources. The main issue – to ensure their effective use. Over the last 25-30 years after the replacement of the Soviet planning system with the market conditions, the Russian mining industry managed to turn into commercial success many projects which were previously considered uneconomic and abandoned.
As Russia is swiftly moving into “modernisation mode” the Forum organisers are inviting mining professionals to discuss the potentials for industry’s recovery and accelerated growth.
MINEX Russia 2015 Forum Technical Committee calls on national and international mining companies, analysts, investors, technological companies and government authorities to submit before 14 August 2015 abstracts to be considered for presentation at the Forum in Moscow from 6 to 8 October 2015.

The organisers of MINEX Russia 2015 Mining and Exploration Forum invite armature photographers to enter the 4th Annual photo competition “Miners and Mines of Russia 2015”.
The competition has been organised alongside the MINEX Russia Forum since 2012. The competition aims to provide an opportunity for amateur photographers to present a vivid image and diversity of mines and miners of Russia.
Please submit competition entry form and photos by 12 September 2014.

Ahead of the upcoming MINEX Russia 2015 Mining and Exploration Forum, the organising committee is creating Blog dedicated to mining developments and news in Russia.
The blog will enable companies and authors to publish articles, reviews and reports. The authors of the most interesting and popular articles will be invited to present their views to the live audience at Forum.
